Android and video, how to get started
Hello again everyone! This week, leaving all things for the technology and we are going to have fun. Android phones, portable media playesrs are great you just have to get used to another way of coding and synchronization of our media. Although there are many way to achieve this, we will focus on two free tools to use to best use Android multimedia experience. So put on silent ring tone, send children out to play in the backyard and read after the break.
I said that we are going to go with two different methods in order to start the talk about doubleTwist . Like many of you, I was skeptical about the whole iTunes-style media sync Android on my phone. Boy am I glad I decided to try doubleTwist so. While we do not have delved very deeply into my music and sync with the pictures, the way in which encrypts and synchronizes the video on the fly is great. If youre like me and just want to watch a movie from time to time on the phone, let doubleTwist handle things and will not be disappointed. Videophile If you do not fear we have you a bit later.
Getting Started with doubleTwist First order of business is to download and install doubleTwist. Fire up your computer and head on over to doubleTwist.com and grab it. Do not forget to watch the video and read the instructions a little bit about the application, while youre there. Once installed, open it and set yourself a free account.

When it all set up, go ahead and connect your phone to your computer and set it in mass storage mode. Select an item from the Library of Movies in the left pane doubleTwist. Yes, it will look familiar;). the right pane will show what is doubleTwist videos found on the computer. Protip you can specify which folders are included in the libraries in the menu bar doubleTwist Library ->Add folder if not found at startup. To add a single video to the video library, just drag it. In the photo below, Im dragging a DVD rip of 2012 so that I can add to my phone to watch the next time Im waiting for my wife to buy shoes and purses at the mall:)

Next and select the right mouse button on the video you drag(drag? drugs?) above, and select to add it to the playlist. If you installed doubleTwist probably do not have a playlist setup, so you can also create directly from the menu. I said it would be easy. I also moved the Clash of Titans trailer and plain film wild animals that come from Windows 7 and are added to the playlist. You can add a lot of things as you want, just keep in mind space on the SD card.

Now, if you look in the left pane of doubleTwist, youll see the entrance phone line. select it and select the video in the right pane of doubleTwist. Just look at the screenshot below for details.

At this point, I am sure that many people wonder why Im going through it when I can simply drag and drop files in mass storage mode. Well, heres where the genius comes into play doubleTwist. In 2012 over drug Divx file is ripped from the letterbox version on DVD in high quality. It will not play on my phone as it is. But doubleTwist knows this and knows how to fix it. it gets the information from your phone to identify and automatically encode video for playback on the device during the synchronization process. As iTune err, that other platforms do not. Just click the button for quick synchronization, and then relax or go grab a cup of your favorite beverage and let the magic work doubleTwist.

When it is finished, you can press the line inputs Videos on the device and see that everything communicated by, ready for playback on the device.

High quality video encoding Most of us will be more than happy with the video doubleTwist encodes and synchronizes our phones, but I know some people will want to push the boundaries and how to encode your videos in higher quality. while its nowhere near as easy as using doubleTwist, manual do exactly what you want.
Apple TV peeps can know everything about the manual. For the rest of us, this is a piece of cross-platform software that has a video conversion and its really a flexible output settings. find Handbrake here o, also for free. We love free.
After manually downloaded and installed, open it, so we can adjust some parameters. The first thing I want to do is create a folder to subscribe to our videos. Also, at this step, we want to make sure that the files are saved as. mp4. Open the manual option from the menu of programs. image below shows the things that you want to specify.

Click the Browse button and tell me where to save the videos manually coded, and remember to clear the field, which specifies that the files are saved in the format of iTunes. Next, hand-held point of the file you want to transcode. See pictures below.

Just go to the file you want to convert and select it .
Next is the most important. You will need to set the resolution of the file. On the right side of the hand brake, select Apple ->iPod . If the source file has higher resolution, your phone, set Width: to match your screen resolution. Click on Keep Aspect Ratio and delete anything in Height: field. manual will resample and video scaling much better than the phone, so it makes it makes it much difference in playing. Look below to see exactly where and what I am talking about.

If the source file is smaller than the screen resolution, you can set higher, but not it is necessary. It also results in a larger file size, so I suggest leaving it alone is probably too big.
If your source is DVD or BluRay, you will need to watch out for file sizes. In the picture below, we see where we can set the maximum volume of encoded video. If the encoding disk or a huge file, set the Target(MB): to number less than 2 GB. If this is a file that did the same, or download from the internet, simply set Average Bitrate to many less than 1000 If the number is fewer than 1,000 at the beginning, ignore.

One last thing to do before we start it, uncheck 5th generation iPod field. Im not 100 percent sure what it does, but leaving me with a left checked files will not play yes, uncheck the box, unless you know a good reason to leave it to check:)

Then press the Get It Started Start button on the top menu bar icon for manual. Second, and yes, the command window will appear with the progress of their work. ; Not close it. If I never did any video transcoding, be prepared for a looooooong wait.

When it is finished, connect your phone and copy the encoded file and enjoy high-quality video on Superphone.
2012 of the Manual on the HTC Hero
Some notes on Handbrake is a resource hog. It does a good job, but needs the computer hardware to back it up. It is not something you do in most laptops and don, t even think about using a netbook. If you manually shut down before its ready, press Forums manual a few tips to make it in traffic a bit milder. this is one of those rare cases where Linux and Mac guys are better than Windows users. Parking brake, like many other titles, multimedia editing software works better than on Windows machines.
