Knights contract- Witches and the knights
It was probably the last generation of consoles, with more introduced in 3D gaming platform, which began to emerge definitely hack and slash genre. With Devil May Cry as a great first reference, Ninja Gaiden Black-and-absolute king of the genre and then further iterations with as much or more prestige as God of War-touch more action-adventure was confirmed as a type of successful game. This generation has followed in the wake of the big three above, with news and lots through "inspiration" of those mechanics. Knight Contract (Playstation 3 and Xbox 360) is part of the gaming industry.
This is a proposal developed by Namco Bandai Game Republic. If we in history, we face to a more than noticeable in handheld games, where they have done work as both Dragon Ball Origins Nintendo DS or the recent Dragon Ball: Ultimate Butoden, also DS. Can not say the same thing as desktop products are concerned, at least if we look at action games. His latest project, Clash of the Titans, went unnoticed. Contract Knight's plot puts you in the shoes of a gentleman named Heinrich ex-executioner. He wanders aimlessly through a city until he meets a young alchemist, asking where is that place where there are only dead. After saving him from certain death, the alchemist Heinrich sees a potential savior of his teacher Gretchen. The particularities of the two main characters from that time are interesting: he can not die, cursed by a spell, she, however, is a witch of great magical powers. Without really knowing why, we are fighting a witch to finally defeat.
Only then will we understand the crux of the matter. Gretchen Heinrich killed doing their job at the behest of the governor Verdugo Faust. She cursed him and now he can remove the spell if it helps in their particular epic: to fight against all witches and enemies who have sown the black plague on the planet as revenge against mankind. That one from ignorance burned alive by bringing the pests as their rulers. All lies, but as the people believed his boss, the people must die. Two eyes for two characters
The gameplay is quite simple in every way. We find default paths and a fairly linear development of gender marking: areas to be cleared of enemies to advance. Something that can eventually make Contract Knight doing repetitive runs during the development phase.
As usual in this type of game, the Quick Time Events are also present to destroy our enemies. Pressing the button will do just as he is dying a finisher rather than striking visually. The climax comes with the bosses. They are the most interesting enemies and struggles to beat more complicated, as they are varied and need to find their weak points. Unfortunately, the final touch in the final QTE can lead us down the road of bitterness. Technical section
Contract Knight is a game that works well in motion, thanks to the amount of blood, dismemberment and the fluidity of the action you see on screen.
