Solving the Retention Dilemma: Intelligent Archiving for Surveillance Data

Traditional tape/hard drive technology and complicated manual data back-up processes do not stand up to the demands of video surveillance storage. How in the HELL do I use Audacity????? Help Please...?

I just downloaded audacity 2 days ago and I still have no clue on what to do. I read the audacity manual online, but it still did not help. I want to get my music off of my yahoo music jukebox and rip the singing off to get the instrumental and also mix it with other songs as well, but everytime I add a song from my jukebox to audacity and press play it makes a beep noise and clicks off. Please tell me what I should do, and please put it in simple "idiot terms" becuase I'm totally don't understand the "audacity" vocab, thanks.

If you can give me an example step by step on how to add music to my audacity that will help me 100%!

first of all you cannot seperate the vocal tracks from the music to make it instrumental,

when it comes to adding the song, to the track, click project>import audio>select the file. works best if the file is either a WAV or MP3.

if you need help with anything else, i've used Audactity for over 6 years and prefer it over every other audio editor out there (including ones you have to pay for).
